Eat
"One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well."
Virgina Woolf pretty much sums it up.
Eating out is one of life's great great pleasures. How lucky there are so many incredible restaurants, not only in London where the food scene is just continuing to explode, but of course when travelling. Seeking out those special gems and getting to share a chef's creativity, mastery or love for food and life is, I think, a form of art appreciation.
So...a question I often ask people is 'What would your death row meal be?....
It might perhaps be a little morbid, but it does tell you a lot about someone. As I have dined at incredible places both close to and far from home, that has extended to a category of place I call "Death Row Dining Spots". If this was your last meal out, it would be a place and meal worthy of that moniker.
Roadside warungs in Indonesia, 3 star Michelin Parisian haute cuisine, Italian trattorias, beach shacks or just freshly shucked oysters off the side of a boat. This section is the collection of "Death Row Dining spots" I have already found. The search continues however.
What a pleasurable journey to be on.
